 Janasansadaya organized street campaigns with joint handed participation of torture survivors, their family members and human rights defenders. For the last two and a half months, six campaigns were organized and performed in Galle and Weligama.

 More than one hundred and twenty five persons participated in these campaigns. They distributed anti-torture brochures and sold more than six hundred books published by Janasansadaya.

 In order to empower the on lookers that they could challenge the unlawful behaviors of state authorities, they were wearing T-shirts and Caps which were printed with anti-torture slogans like STOP TORTURE and so on.

 Further, these street movements encourage and activate the participants who were the torture survivors, their family members affected severely by unlawful activities of state officers and also the human rights defenders who always work for the benefits of torture victims. In fact, not by word but in action, powerless innocent general public were given the massage that they could stand up against unlawful imposing of tortures on them.
