Panadura police arrested a person and remanded him for possessing of 3g and 280mg of heroine. He was arrested at Diggala area in Panadura North. According to police, the above amount of heroine was packed in 8 packets.

In a case, bearing number 51443, Moratuva police informed that there was 1100mg of heroine in possession of the suspect, Uva Adikarige Somavathi, however, only 253mg of heroine was sent to the Government Analyst.

In the case, bearing number 1694/08, Piliyandala police informed the courts that 482mg of heroine was in possession of N. D Anulawathi. However, according to the Government Analyst report the stuff was identified as heroine but the amount was not mentioned.

The situation is same in the case of K. R. Mallika, bearing number 2303. Thalangama police informed the courts that there were 109mg of heroine in her possession. Like in Anulawathi
